Welcome to Lembretes ("App"), a medication reminder app developed by Palmer Dev Software ("we", "us", "our"). By downloading, accessing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. Description of the service

Lembretes is an app that helps you organize and remember your medication schedules. Your medication data is stored locally on your device (a local-first approach). The App provides, free of charge, features for adding medications, notification reminders, dose history, and a dose calendar, plus additional features through an optional subscription ("Premium"), described in Section 4.

2. Important medical disclaimer

Lembretes is an organization and reminder tool. It is NOT a medical device, does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment, and is not a substitute for the guidance of a physician, pharmacist, or other qualified healthcare professional.

- Always follow your doctor's instructions and the medication's package insert.

- Do not base health, dosage, or timing decisions solely on the App.

- Reminders depend on your device working properly (battery, notification settings, operating system). They may fail, be delayed, or not be delivered for reasons beyond our control. Do not rely on the App as the only way to ensure a medication is taken.

- In an emergency or if you have any doubt about your medication, seek a healthcare professional immediately.

3. License to use

We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable license to use the App on your devices, solely for personal, non-commercial purposes. You agree not to copy, modify, reverse engineer, distribute, or commercially exploit the App.

4. Premium subscription

4.1 Plans

The App offers a Premium subscription in monthly and annual plans, which unlock additional features (such as ad removal and extended App features). Prices are shown within the App, in your local currency, before you confirm the purchase.

4.2 Free trial

The subscription may include a 7-day free trial. If you do not cancel before the end of the trial period, the subscription automatically converts to a paid subscription and the corresponding amount is charged.

4.3 Automatic renewal

Subscriptions renew automatically. They renew for the same period (monthly or annual) at the end of each cycle, and the amount is charged to your Google Play account, unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.

4.4 Payment, management, and cancellation

The purchase, billing, renewal, and cancellation of the subscription are processed and managed by Google Play, in accordance with Google's terms. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time at: Google Play → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions. Cancellation stops future renewals; Premium access remains active until the end of the period already paid for.

4.5 Refunds

Payments are processed by Google Play and refunds follow the Google Play policy. We do not directly control refunds. Except where required by applicable law, amounts already charged are non-refundable.

4.6 Price changes

Any price changes will be communicated in advance and, where required, will depend on your consent, in accordance with Google Play rules.

5. Acceptable use

You agree to use the App lawfully and not to: (a) use it for unlawful purposes; (b) attempt to compromise the security or operation of the App; (c) interfere with other people's use of the App.

6. Privacy

How we handle your data is described in our Privacy Policy, available at https://palmerlabapps.com/privacy-policy-medication-reminder. Medication data is stored locally on your device. By using the App, you agree to the Privacy Policy.

7. Intellectual property

The App, including its code, design, trademarks, text, and other elements, is owned by Palmer Dev Software or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not transfer to you any ownership rights in the App.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the App is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that reminders will always be delivered on time or without interruption. To the extent permitted by law, Palmer Dev Software shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of, or inability to use, the App, including missed, delayed, or incorrectly taken doses. Nothing in these Terms excludes liabilities that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

9. Termination

You may stop using the App and uninstall it at any time. We may suspend or terminate access to the App in the event of a breach of these Terms or when required by law.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The current version will always be available on this page, with the date of the last update. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federative Republic of Brazil, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protection rules that may apply in your country of residence.
